They turn into a charred potato chip with poor health or an edgy person with a lot of resentment. Ultimately, they aren’t much help to anyone and lose themselves in overwhelm and burnout.

What if, instead of all that “wear yourself out and wear yourself down” jazz, you did it differently? What if you got up early, went for a walk, and maybe did some yoga?Then what if you got a cup of coffee and read something that really spoke to you and inspired you?

Yes, some days are wild and crazy. Sometimes life is hectic, and it feels like your hair is on fire. Sometimes we don’t know where we will find the time, money, or sanity to do what needs doing today. Those days really need you to do SOMETHING that makes you feel good.

Speaking of other people… let’s talk about other people. With work and family, we sometimes have to be around people we don’t enjoy. For example, it might be a co-worker that gets on your nerves or a friend that takes advantage of your good nature.
It could be the uncle who throws bizarre political views across the dinner table. It might be the sister-in-law you don’t get, and she doesn’t get you. It’s essential that you make time and space for those you DO enjoy. Make a list of people whose presence makes you feel better. Think of the person that makes you laugh. We all have that person that you have to set the alarm on your phone, or you will talk entirely too long.
Think of the people in your life that you are grateful for and don’t see or talk to often enough. That is who goes on this list. Now pull out your calendar and start texting and calling people to make lunch dates, coffee dates, and play dates. It’s time for you guys to raise each other’s vibrations.

You schedule playing just like you plan to clean the garage or getting your 10,000 steps. You do that because it’s fun and because playing raises your vibration. That not only makes you feel good. Make your playdates fun and meaningful. Go to that kayaking spot you loved as a kid. Visit that park that your grandfather used to take you to. Fun and meaningful experiences attract more light, happy, meaningful experiences and others who will enjoy them with you.
